Patrick Bijnen discovered electronic music at a young age, inspired by breakdance and new wave in the 80s. In the early 90s, he became fascinated by House, Breakbeat, and Hardcore House, started making mix tapes, and played at school parties. He soon realized his true passion was producing. In 1994, he bought his first synthesizer but kept music as a hobby for years. It wasn't until 2020 that he decided to release his music worldwide as "By Nine," together with his childhood friend Khalil Kaouachi.

Two longtime friends from Rotterdam, with a passion for techno and house music since 1991, decided to turn their love for electronic music into their own productions. Inspired by the oldskool rave sounds of the ‘90s and the raw energy of today, they created a unique style ranging from melodic to intense, with tempos from 128 to 150 BPM.

In 2020, By Nine released their first EP on the Portuguese underground label 898 Records, gaining support from the scenes in London and Rotterdam. Driven by their vision to leave a lasting impact on electronic music, they founded By Nine Music.

With this label, they not only release their own techno and house tracks but also give other talented musicians the opportunity to share their productions with the world.

Khalil Kaouachi discovered techno in the early 90s at a warehouse rave in Rotterdam, captivated by its hypnotic beats. Immersed in the underground scene, he drew inspiration from local and international DJs. Fueled by passion, he started producing in his bedroom studio with vintage synthesizers and drum machines. His sound, shaped by Rotterdam’s raw industrial energy and Moroccan roots, evolved into a unique blend that pays homage to his heritage while pushing techno’s boundaries.
